My 11 x 14 inch silver gelatin fiber paper prints, with an average image size of 10 x 13 inches are made to my highest archival standards.
From the composition, exposure and development of the film , to the fine printing and the matting and mounting of the print are all controlled and done by myself.
I sign and date, (the date printed) on the lower right of the print boarder corner in pencil.
The print is put through two fixing baths of fresh fixer. A running water wash. Then water stand. Then dump. Repeating many times.
The prints are selenium toned. Depending on the developer, paper and the required final colour, prints are toned one to five minute. Then again a running water wash,
stand, dump, running water, repeating over a one to two hour period. A semi high humidity slow dry, face down on plastic screen.
The print is mounted using archival paper corners attached with rice paper. The paste is rice starch with thymol added.
The mounting board is museum quality 8ply rag board of a size of 16 x 20 , attached to a 8 ply window matt with one inch acid-free linen tape.
Then it is inserted into a 16 x 20 aluminum frame.
Each year I gain new photographic knowledge and skills and enjoy incorporating the knowledge and skill into the creativity of printing each high quality print.
I begin printing your requested image at the time of the order. This means the print will take approximately twenty five days before it is shipped - Printing, Pressing, Matting and Framing. First class insured
mail may take an additional two weeks while in transit. Quicker UPS shipping is available at an additional charge.
